By God's grace one family of DSC is getting ready to uproot their lives to go and plant churches in North Africa on January 1, 2014. Another family from Redemption Church is scheduled to depart January 2015. We, the body of DSC, must dig in to send them out to reach the unreached for Christ.

How can you dig in this spring?

SPRING for SNAP: This is a season of increased awareness, prayer, and fund raising in our Countdown to Sunrise. This spring, March 20 (286 days left till Sunrise) through June 20 (193 days left till Sunrise), Community Groups are working their creative juices in order to Share, Pray, Raise Funds, INvest, and Give to SNAP. Happening now:

Pancake Breakfast – A community group at DSC is organizing a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s (10600 Lomas Blvd NE) on Saturday, June 29 from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on June 29 at Applebees. $5.00 gets you two pancakes, two sausage links, unlimited beverages, and not to mention investment in church planting! Contact Eric Lujan or Amanda Appel to get your tickets. Hurry, tickets are limited!

Hot Diggity Dogs – On June 30 after both services in the courtyard, one DSC community group will be selling hot dogs. Please plan on eating here that Sunday, having fellowship with the body, and planting churches!

Other possible ideas for you and your community group: community wide ping pong tournament, garage sales, old cell phone collection, frequent flyer exchange system, etc. To get started on one of these or another idea, please contact Melody Shaddix.

The youth of DSC will spend a week at camp in June. Cost will be prohibitive for many, so please help them raise money. If you have any lawn work, home cleaning, baby sitting, etc., please contact Nathan Sherman.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Calling all lords and ladies, knights and nobles, to put on the full armor of God at VBS on Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, 2013 from 6:00 PM through 8:30 PM. We need teachers, classroom assistants, and volunteers to help with crafts, snacks, games, clean up, etc.

Registration for kids (children four-years-old by July 31 through those that just completed 5th grade may register) and volunteers (may register children 0-3 for nursery childcare during VBS) is available online and in the children’s area.
