Around the DSC facilities and in printed materials you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve seen this symbol which represents something about our church\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s name, its message, and its mission.<\/p>\n

The word picture of springs in the desert <\/em>is a rich one in Scripture. Three places in Isaiah (35:6-10<\/a>; 43:19-21<\/a>; 44:3-5<\/a>) tell us that we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re a desperate, thirsty, and restless people because of the fall. But these passages also promise a day when life-giving springs will flow in the desert. Then there will be the quench and satisfaction for which we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve longed and searched. Well, Jesus makes clear that that longed for day has come. He is that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153living water\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (see John 4<\/a> and John 7<\/a>). He is both salvation and satisfaction.<\/p>\n

That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s briefly why we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re called Desert Springs Church. And that word picture is also symbolized in a new-ish logo which you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve seen on our bulletins, website, and, more recently, on our signage.<\/p>\n
