We have two students needing services in May. One is a new student that is arriving on the 23rd and needs airport pickup and temporary homestay. Spring Break Trip

ISI Spring break photoWe had an awesome wintery spring break in Durango this past March. A very generous ISI Friendship Partner loaned us their vacation home which was perfectly situated for skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing. The days were spent outside enjoying the snow and the nights were spent playing games and enjoying each other’s company. A truly wonderful time was had by all.

ISI Baby shower

We have been able to celebrate two baby showers this March. Congratulations to the new mothers, Nilum and May. We are also happy to report that both May and Nilum have given birth to a healthy baby boys, Praise God! Thank you Burcin and Crissy Tikiroglu for hosting Nilum’s shower. May’s shower was held at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

ISI January 2015 Newsletter Update

2015 | by Clint | Category: Global,Iternational Students Incorporated,Local

International Students INC. (ISI) is one of our local missions partners. Their global vision is to welcome international students to Albuquerque at UNM and seek to build friendships with them through service and hospitality. Joan has sent us ISI’s January updates. It’s not too late get involved in this amazing ministry!

Welcome Center

The January 2015 Welcome Center was bustling with activity. We served over 150 students during the 5 days we were open. Students were served lunches (almost 300) another 75 were provided with airport pickups and temporary homestays. Of those 75, we matched most of them with a friendship partner. As of today, all but three students have been assigned a friendship partner (we have one guy from Qatar and 2 guys from India still left on our list).

Welcome Parties

We want to send out a special thank you to the volunteers who hosted the six Welcome Parties this past January. Those parties played an integral role in making students feel welcome, introducing them to American friends and giving them the opportunity to sign up for a Bible study.

Bible Study

A whopping 38 students are attending this semester’s Bible study! We have seven active small groups at this time. Let us pray that God would be revealed to students in 2015.

The Hiking ministry is starting off strong with 45 students signed up for hikes. We need more volunteer hiking leaders and organizers.  Each leader is expected to lead at least two hikes this semester.  If you are interested, please contact isiabq@isionline.org. It’s not too late to get involved in this exciting ministry!

Please join our hearts in prayer for the following:
