Holy Week Achí Initiative Needs Prayer

2015 | by Clint | Category: Global,Prayer,Rabinal Achi

Please join us in praying with Rodrigo and Carol Barrera, dear friends, missionaries, and partners, as they share below the Achi youth ministry’s (OR4) initiative to take the gospel to the Achi region. Carol writes:

Prayer request for March 28 through April 3

Imagine a group of sixty or more Achi young people joining in with others from Guatemala and El Savador for a week of impacting the Achi region. The first three days they will be receiving orientation about global missions and local evangelism.  Then they will split into ten groups, each one going to a church in a different town for outreach with a local church. The outreaches will encompass personal evangelism, creative evangelism, work and witness, and activities with children and young people.  Hector  Hernandez is an Achi young man leading this event.  He caught the vision for taking the Good News to the nations several years go, and ever since has been consistently pursuing that vision and “infecting” others with the same vision.

The students and staff of the five month Discipleship Training School now in progress in San Miguel will be joining this effort. We love to see cooperative efforts between organizations and countries and ethnic groups!

Planning this event in our living room in San Miguel.

Register for A Ladies’ Tea

2015 | by Clint | Category: Giving Opportunity,Local,North Africa (SNAP),Prayer

tea_2015The Women’s Ministry is seeking to support Sunrise North Africa Partnership (SNAP) by offering a Ladies’ Tea on Saturday, April 18, at 11AM – 1PM.

This year we will hear updates from both Mrs. G. and Mrs. C. Please join us for a sweet time of fellowship over a splendid cup of tea and savories. This event sells out early and seating is limited! Be sure to register now!

To make this our most successful fund raising event to date, we need many ladies to attend, to volunteer to help, and to donate food items. This huge endeavor will only work if we all are willing to do some small part.

You do not have to attend to help or to donate food items. All proceeds from this Tea go to support Sunrise North Africa Partnership (SNAP). For details, to volunteer, and to register go to
