APH Save the Date

A Peaceful Habitation (APH), one of our supported missions, provides a safe, supportive, God-centered environment for women who are re-entering society from an institutional setting. APH delivers faith-based programs to develop the life skills needed for an independent, God-centered lifestyle.

APH welcomes volunteers and donations. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring, life-skill teachers, yard and house maintenance/ enhancements, meals and socializing, basic automotive maintenance, and help with fund-raising activities. Ongoing needs include household and cleaning supplies, work-appropriate clothing (especially plus sizes), hygiene supplies, food, gift cards, and prayers.

Another fun way to help out:  Attend “An Afternoon at the Movies – the Decade Awards” at the Sheraton Uptown, Saturday, May 9, 11:30am-2:30pm, in honor of APH’s 10th anniversary. Enjoy lunch, entertainment, movie snippets, awards, a silent auction, and a raffle – 1st prize $1500 cash, 2nd prize an IPad Air, and 3rd prize a Tiger Muskie fishing trip for two. Not for ladies only, as you can see. Tickets are $45 each; table of 10 is $425.

Can’t attend? Do you have something you might donate for the silent auction — art, jewelry, other? Or maybe you’d like to buy a raffle ticket or make a cash donation? Contact Elizabeth or Linda at 331-3974 or 294-5310 or email at or  They can answer questions, arrange to pick up donations and/or help you get involved with APH.
