1.5 Billion Muslims Celebrate the Sacrificial Lamb as 700 Die Without THE Sacrificial Lamb

2015 | by Clint | Category: Uncategorized

Two articles worth a read today:

Eid al-Adha: a surprising bridge between Islam and the gospel

Over 700 die in stampede at Mulsim Holy site

Learn more about Eid al-Adha here and here.

May our hearts break for the loss of life and the lostness of so many lives.

Pray especially for our SNAP families as they seek to share with friends the true meaning of God’s sacrificial lamb for and through Abraham.  And watch for opportunities to engage Muslims you know at work or in your neighborhood.  Find out more about their holiday.  Today is their Christmas equivalent.  Learn more, share more.

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter…

He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

He burns the chariots with fire.

Be still and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 46:6a, 9-10

Mini But Mighty 2015 Update

2015 | by Clint | Category: Giving Opportunity,Local,North Africa (SNAP)

Mini But Mighty 2015Caleigh Ellison, a 15 year old in the DSC youth who came up with the idea for Mini But Mighty, has a recap for the mini golf event last month. Check out what she has to say:

This year was our third annual Mini But Mighty golf tournament. The idea behind Mini But Mighty is that that God can use the youth at DSC to do big things. I always wanted this is be a way for kids my age to be able to do something worth while for God’s glory.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank God for all the sponsors who made the night possible and to all the registrants who came out to play. This year more people registered and played than ever before. It was so great watching families, friends, and youth enjoying a game of golf together, while raising money to spread the gospel to unreached people. We originally only had 45 people registered online, but we were totally surprised when God brought 45 more people to the door!! That’s 90 people! Not only have we never had 45 people play or be registered, but to have 90 people come was amazing! It is so so cool to see how God works through these things. It was also so amazing to watch the youth at DSC serve together.

Nearly $2,000 was raised the night of Mini But Mighty, and we hope you’ll join us again next year! Maybe through God we’ll double that amount!
