How DSC Fits into the Vision of Western Indian Ministries (WIM)

2012 | by Clint | Category: Global,Native American,Video

On Sunday September 30th, Western Indian Ministries (WIM) held a “Day of Prayer.” Chuck Harper and others on staff at WIM shared testimony of where WIM had been, and where they hope to go as a ministry.  They also took time with the 50+ guests to seek the Lord through prayer and praise for wisdom as they map out the way forward as a ministry.  It was a blessed time to learn more about the 75 year old ministry, and to ask God to bless the next 75 years.

In this video, General Director of WIM Chuck Harper shares how he sees DSC fitting into the dreams of WIM.

Also, as a reminder:

The Harpers are “faith based” missionaries, which means all their income is provided by supporting churches and individuals who give, as God provides.

Some current specific needs include:

  • Vehicle: dependable for Chuck to travel an average of 500 miles per week (a small pickup is preferred to haul equipment, food, etc.)
  • Staff:   2nd Grade Teacher, School Principal, Field Supervisor, Grounds and Maintenance Director, Radio Announcer (all in Window Rock, AZ)
  • Staff:  Bookkeeper, Youth Workers, Operations Manager (in ABQ, NM)
  • Tools:  (the mission shop was vandalized, and most of the tools were taken; mechanical and building construction)
  • School Bus
  • Office Space:  about 3-400 sq feet in Albuquerque, NM

Please email Chuck and Cindy if you or anyone you know might be able to help them with the above needs for WIM.
