Christianity Explored Course
Are you new to this thing called Christianity? Do you have a friend that you really want to share the gospel with, but do not quite know where to start? How about a family member that you think would be open to studying the Bible in a small group setting, but may be afraid of having to read aloud, sing, or pray in front of others? Well, we have just the course. Christianity Explored is designed to offer a nonthreatening place for folks to come, listen, learn, and ask questions about who Jesus is, why He had to die, and what it means to follow Him. The setting is several small groups eating dinner here at the church, watching a short DVD video, and then discussing the contents of the video as well as the assigned Bible readings from the passed week. Ideally, if you have a friend, family member, neighbor or coworker, you would invite them to come, and you would come along with them. This offers you the ability to follow up with your guest outside of the class in case they have further questions about the course.
Another way to help with this class is with setup, cleanup, and childcare. This course offering will start January 29 and run through March 11 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Sunday evenings here at Desert Springs Church. It will include dinner for adults and any teenagers (thirteen and up) attending the course. We will also offer childcare from birth to twelve.
