Desert Springs Church (DSC) began under Pastor Paul Kemp as a contemporary, nondenominational Bible-teaching church meeting with a handful of families as a "home church."
Growth caused a move to Riverpoint Health and Fitness Club under the name Riverview Fellowship.
Continued growth led to a move to a renovated storefront warehouse space on the I-25 frontage road near Osuna.
Riverview Fellowship merged with Sierra Vista Bible Church and adopted the name Desert Springs Church.
August - September, 1998
Church offices relocated to the Sierra Vista Bible Church building, Wyoming and Paseo del Norte NE. Continued growth along with space limitations at the Paseo property led to Sunday services being held at La Cueva High School.
Founding Pastor Kemp accepts a pastorate in Cedar Park, Texas. Elders begin process of searching for new pastor.
Elders call Pastor Bob Brown to DSC. Pastor Brown accepts.
DSC purchases 10 acres of land on the corner of Osuna and Vista del Norte NE as the site of a new church home.
We begin having worship services at our new church home. The first worship service was held October 13, 2002.
Ryan Kelly comes to DSC, replacing Bob Brown as Pastor-Teacher.
