Our next Elders Q&A will take place on the last Wednesday of this month, September 26, at 6:30 PM.<\/p>\n
Every important relationship includes some question asking and some question answering.\u00c2\u00a0As part of their leadership here at DSC, our elders are always available to answer questions in person, and once a year these men make themselves available to answer questions in a church-wide setting.<\/p>\n
Since this is a Q&A, you are invited to submit questions for our elders to answer in the course of the evening. You can do this in three ways:<\/p>\n
Any\u00c2\u00a0questions that are not addressed at the Q&A will be answered through the\u00c2\u00a0DSC Blog<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0or email.<\/p>\n Asking good questions encourages unity among our body and helps all of us pray more specifically for our church and its maturity in Christ.<\/p>\n To help you better pray for these men, consider Peter’s words to elders concerning the wonder and weight of\u00c2\u00a0their\u00c2\u00a0calling as shepherds from 1 Peter 5:1-5:<\/p>\n I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
