Desert Springs supports CareNet because CareNet loves Jesus and seeks to reach the lost. Every time a woman walks in for a pregnancy test and goes through CareNet’s pregnancy packet, they share the hope of the gospel through Jesus Christ. In a state where, horrifically, late-term abortion is allowed up until the day of birth, CareNet strongly stands for life, compassionately showing the humanity of the not-yet-born and coming alongside single women and families to provide material resources, parenting classes, and lots of prayer.
But why Walk for Life? CareNet depends upon Walk for Life as a fundraiser to reach out into the community and ask for one-time donations, which help fund their day-to-day operations. More than that, however, it is a public proclamation to the world that the Church stands for life, that we serve a God who gives abundant life, and therefore, we view all lives as important and worthy to be lived, no matter how small.
