Western Indian Ministries (WIM) 2014 Year End Update

Chuck and Cindy Harper of WIM write:

As the year comes to a close, we wanted you to know how much we appreciate you!

This year WIM celebrated 76 years as a mission to the Navajo and other tribes in Northern Arizona and New Mexico. We also celebrated our 50th year at Hilltop Christian School!

Your partnership with us is changing lives!

  • equipping the next generation of young warriors
  • Serving churches
  • Building a community that is bringing hope and restoration to Native America and beyond.

Highlights from 2014:

Because of our friends…

  • The Voice of Hope has been broadcasting to 250,000 Native American people, covering 25,000 square miles of reservations, on 3 radio stations, 24 x 7. Also, an expanded bookstore serves the people with resources!
  • Our capacity to stand in the gap for broken families, inmates, unengaged youth and hungry children has grown.
  • Our team has been part of the rescue of many at risk youth.
  • Over 50 students and their families are engaged in Christian Education at Hilltop Christian School.
  • Native Christian Churches are better equipped through our training and networking programs.
  • A new department, Tentmaking, opens doors for professionals in Business as Mission, with the Moyers!
  • New staff raising support are on their way. Joining us soon will be the Cooks, the Henrys, and the Nass’s!
  • Significant progress has been made on the Dorm/Retreat Center – with help from the incredible Ancar’s, the Joel Harper family, Peter and Matthew- with most of the funds already raised! The old chapel is turning into a first class retreat center- for summer teams and leader/ pastor retreats.
  • Christ for Native Youth hosted 2 Comics Retreats- to develop the incredible talents of Native students and to help them tell their God stories!   Also record breaking attendance at our Wisdom Keepers AND Breathe conferences help us equip more youth leaders!
  • We have a new satellite partnership with Indian Bible College to train pastors in their remote communities! You are making a difference!

Would you prayerfully consider a generous gift before midnight on December 31, to keep us going strong into 2015?
