Job Opportunities at WIM

Western Indian Ministries has a several job opportunities in the Window Rock, AZ area. Please see below for a brief description of each:

Director of Building and Grounds

Western Indian Ministries is seeking a highly skilled individual in building construction, maintenance and grounds upkeep. As a faith supported missionary, this team leader will supervise the maintenance of housing, school, administrative buildings and the landscaping of grounds that will make the mission campus clean, efficient and inviting to the local community. Experience in management, Native American culture, missions and ministry to underserved populations is highly preferable. This person will play a key role in the leadership team of a growing mission organization that values indigenous leadership, networking and sharing the Gospel with relevance, creativity and urgency.

Director of Operations

Western Indian Ministries is seeking a highly organized, proactive manager to oversee the operations of the Business Office of a growing mission. This person will report to the Executive Director, should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. An MBA is preferred. The right person will be flexible, work well with a team, inspire a high standard of performance, initiate efficient procedures and give financial oversight to the accounting department. Experience in missions, Native American culture and reaching underserved populations is highly preferable. This person will play a key role in the leadership team of a growing mission organization that values indigenous leadership, networking and presenting the Gospel with relevance, creativity and urgency.

Director of Broadcasting

The Director of Broadcasting oversees and protects the spiritual direction of the broadcasting, currently from three Christian radio stations, which cover most of northern New Mexico and Arizona, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The Internet has opened the airwaves for us to encourage listeners around the world. The potential for sharing the Gospel in this way is developing quickly and we know that our freedom to broadcast may not last.

Navajo, English and Hopi pastors have all been recorded in our production studio or announce live, primarily with Bible teaching and inspirational programs and music. We enjoy remote broadcasts of local teams, especially basketball. We are blessed with a chief engineer, technical operator, radio announcers and even Navajo language speakers. What we need is someone to pull it all together, cast vision, and develop creative ways to bring the Gospel in relevant, God-honoring ways, to the Native American population of the Southwest.
