Our beloved Carol y Rodrigo Barrera en Antigua – 2009

DSC Member David G. writes:

Our precious friends, Carol and Rodrigo Barrera, will be taking a break from Guatemala this summer, and plan to base themselves in Cheyenne, Wyoming in the house Carol’s grandfather built and Carol grew up in. However, this house has fallen into an unknown state of disrepair.  Friends of Carol’s living in Cheyenne are expected to send pictures of the areas with the most urgent repair needs, allowing us to come up with a better defined game plan.  But our primary goal is to support the Barrera’s by restoring Carol’s house to a respectable condition and making this house of many memories livable again.

DSC is planning to send a team of willing workers on May 31st to make simple improvements such as painting and landscaping, but may also tackle windows and flooring depending on priorities.

Please pray with us on how we can best accomplish this.  Pray and consider supporting our missionary family as part of the team or with funding to help with the cost of materials – or both!

We could also use an RV, if anyone has one, to offset hotel costs.

Thank you!
