New to DSC
Welcome to Desert Springs Church!
We are glad you are here and we hope you enjoy your online visit.
DSC is a church committed to spreading God's glory broader and deeper for the worship
of Christ, in community
with His people, on mission
by the power of the Spirit with the gospel to the ends of the earth. Scripture directs how we do all things and the gospel fuels whatever we do.
Here is what that looks like in a chart:
Another vital element of our DNA is planting churches
. Go to the About
page to learn more about the church—beliefs
Come and experience a worship service with us. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM (mid and high school
meets in the Youth Room). Click here
for driving directions. Please make sure to stop by our Visitors Kiosk in the foyer and on the last Sunday of the month attend the Newcomers' Reception after each service in the West Wing. At the reception you will get to know some of DSC's leadership
and learn more about the church
We also come together on the last Wednesday of the month for our church-wide dinner at 5:30 PM and the Lord's Supper
service at 6:30 PM.
Childcare is available on Sundays (birth - 5th grade) and on our Lord's Supper services (birth - four-year-olds).
We offer many ways of keeping up-to-date with what is happening at DSC:

Christmas Eve Services
Sunday, December 24, 2017
The day of Christmas Eve (December 24) falls on a Sunday this year. Instead of doing four services in one day (two morning and two Christmas Eve), we will just be doing our usual two morning services, at 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. However, these will have special Christmas music, including choirs. So please invite friends and family to one of these services, as you would to Christmas Eve services.
New Studies for Men's Huddles
Fridays or Saturdays
Attention men! Now's a great time to jump into one of our two morning "Huddles." There's a Friday morning group meeting at 6:00 AM, studying 2 Corinthians. For information on the Friday group email Creston Kuenzi
. The Saturday morning group meets at 8:00 AM and will begin a new book study, The Gospel For Real Life
by Jerry Bridges. For information on the Saturday group email David Pugh
New DSC Community Group
Asher and Brooke Griffin are leading a new Community Group
. They are meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Vista del Norte neighborhood (close to DSC). For more information, including meeting address, please contact Asher Griffin
Sunday, December 31, 2017
For income tax purposes, please note that we can only credit gifts to 2017 if they are received in the church office before the close of business on December 31, or if they are been postmarked by December 31, 2017. New Elder Candidates
We are glad to announce that Sandy Beauchamp
and Scott Meinema
have come on the elder board as elder candidates. This means that after a year in candidate status we would bring their names to the congregation for commissioning as elders. We'll keep their names before you for one month in the bulletin, and then for a month at the close of their candidacy. At any time we welcome you to offer feedback
, either to commend them to us, or to express a concern.
